Theses Supervision & Mentoring

During my time at RWTH Aachen University, I regularly advised Bachelor and Master students during their final theses. I am really happy that several students who I advised directly remained in academia as researcher and/or PhD students, even around the globe. Keep it up: Markus, Johannes, Liam, Lennart, Erik, and Christian.

Furthermore, I am proud to see several awards for their theses: KuVS Award of the German Informatics Society (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Informatik, GI) and the Information Technology Society of VDE (Informationstechnische Gesellschaft, ITG), Young Researcher Award of the German Association for Data Protection and Data Security (Gesellschaft für Datenschutz und Datensicherheit, GDD), Berthold Vöcking Master Award of Department of Computer Science (Fachgruppe Informatik) at RWTH Aachen University, and multiple FOLKS Awards. Apart from awards for theses, Dominik was even honored for his track record (primarily for his work on industrial intrusion detection systems under my supervision) with the ICT Young Researcher Award of the Profile Area “Information and Communication Technology” at RWTH Aachen University. Congratulations to all of you!
